

The fourth pile (the one furthest to the right) consist of the cards you really want to be going for. There is one pile (I think its the third pile) that consists of animals, if you can get 5? of those you get a decent scoring hand. The next two piles I can't really comment on, as I still don't exactly understand what they are either.

This isn't great from a point scoring perspective, but is incredibly useful when the AI has (or almost has) a really good looking hand, so you can shut down the AI before they win tons of points. If you end the round once you get 10 of these you'll only get 1 point though. These are mainly worthless but if you get 10 of them you have a winning hand. The ones on the left most pile are "junk" cards. As you capture cards they go on one of four piles. Its worth watching the AI to try and understand what its doing for the win - in so much as you learning which cards are the most valuable therefore ones you should be aiming to get before the AI does. I can't really speak on understanding the cards, but there is an option in the menu to enable a glow around cards when you've almost got a winning hand (which is incredibly useful). Only part I see taking a while again is grinding Majima encounters, I actually accidentally maxed out my Majima encounter rate for chapter 5 near the beginning of the chapter, which on the one hand meant XP was harder to come by for a while, but did provide me with a much quieter, less distracting chapter! (Majima not leaping out of every trash can, manhole and alleyway was refreshing). Fairly straight forward in this game, thankfully I remember most of the good options for the side stories to get weapons/gear - just got myself an awesome sword (Sakura Storm), just gotta clear Komaki's next training mission before I can use it effectively. Really wish I'd have remembered this sooner.Ībout 40% through the completion list already. Just cleared chapter 5, which taught me the worth of Rush style against Majima's slugger style - probably the most effective style to counter Majima with since I can evade him really well, build heat quick and effectively counter attack safely.

I've finished the Japanese version a year back and am now working on the English version - plan is to have it 100%ed before mid December when Kiwami 2 hits in Japan. Glad to see this thread jump over to this forum.
